There’s only one small half-remembered scene I can recall from this…
There are two mice, very scared and possibly lost, hiding from weasels in the dead of night. Blurred points of light shine through the tall dark grass that surrounds them, which the mice are convinced are the weasels’ eyes. I seem to remember one mouse comforting the other by telling them “There are no weasels” (or something along those lines)…
The points of light turn out to be other mice (carrying lanterns?)
We rented it on VHS from a library 15-20 years ago when I was very young, and I’m inclined to believe it was from the late 70’s through possibly the late 90’s. It was Stopmotion, but it wasn’t The Wind in the Willows (1983).
I have only guesses:
Nutcracker Fantasy (1979).
Mouse Soup (1993).
Or in this list:
“Brambly Hedge- Autumn Story”
About 20 minutes in.
Thanks a ton!
