Ok so I’m looking for this movie with a girl who has lost her mom. Her mom and her lived in a secluded house where they kept to themselves. I think the town didn’t like the mom so they stayed away. The mom killed herself by drowning and tried to get the daughter to die with her but the daughter backed out. I don’t think anyone knows the daughter even exists or that she’s living on her own. Of course a minor living on their own is illegal. It’s a very colorful movie despite being so…depressing. Lots of fun and colorful shots and friendship bracelets.
The girl fends for herself and her and her mom used to share a room with two beds opposite of each other. The girl regrets not dying with her mom so she’s depressed. I think she also has a dog.
The other girl comes into play when she’s riding her bike around. She goes into the forest (where people warn her not to go because a crazy lady lives there. the crazy lady being the now dead mom) and stumbles across a house. She thinks the house is abandoned so she tries to go in and the dog starts barking. The daughter hides but the other girl finds her. They start hanging out and I remember the brunette girl going and getting posters from her room and bringing them to the other girl so they could decorate her room.
I also remember them dying sheets with purple cabbage or something like that for a bedroom makeover. The bike girl brings snacks and arts and crafts things for the daughter. They start getting closer and..yeah. The girl in the end tries to drown herself in the lake where her mom died after she got caught living alone because she didn’t want to leave the house her and her mom lived in. Someone saw the bike girl always going into the forest so they called the cops and the cops found out the daughter lived there. I think they’re both 17. I thought the movie was called seventeen but I guess I was wrong. The girl with the bike has long (butt length kinda) dark brown hair and the other girl has shoulder length blonde hair…I think. It was made from 2017-2020. The bike girl has a kind of messed up home life and her mom’s boyfriend tries to sexually assault her. He’s always harassing her and saying messed up shit to her. Her mom knows but doesn’t care. They also have a British or Australian accent.
