i cannot find a very obscure animated movie i watched many years ago and i NEED HELP

Okay so all I remember is that there is a young boy who lives in a little town or village when everyone is captured but he manages to escape, he befriends a few other characters but one that stands out to me is a man who changes into a wolf (or the other way around) and the little boy is scared because only a certain type of, known to be dangerous, people can do it or he was upset about being lied to or something. a scene I remember is the boy finally being captured and he calls out the name angi (pronounced [An-g-i] how it would sound when a baby says angry) and the wolf/man calls the boy’s name back but I just cannot remember the characters name, I can hear the tone and the sound of both of their voices but not the actual dialogue. I know they befriend a young girl too but that is literally the extent I can remember!

I know it’s not much but surely SOMEONE will know it! i randomly came across it once, cannot remember the streaming service or anything!
