Help to find a movie

Hello, i am searching a movie that i`ve watched years ago, i will describe somethings i remeber below:

The character is bald, antisocial and has a strage behavior, he passes his days working in his computer and waiting for a phone call.

This call seemed to be of fundamental importance for him, but he didnt receive, and in the end of the movie he discovers it all was a lie.

Another thing is that in a point of the movie i remeber a guy tell to the protagonist “hey bob, i call everyone bob to avoid memorizing names“ or something related.
