The movie in question I saw on Lifetime network years ago and is a 80s and/or 90s film. The most memorable scene I recall is of the main character, a teenage girl, twirling around in the middle of oncoming traffic with a pillow case or bag over her head. On the sidewalk, a friend of hers is begging the girl to get out of the road yet she is eventually hit by a car and later taken to the hospital. Later on she is taken to what appears to be a mental hospital and in that scene makes an offhand remark about the smell of piss, which her father admonishes her for. I only remember those scenes and can’t recall the title or any of the actors.
The film primarily focuses on mental illness and the girl’s family striving to help her. If what I described rings a bell, do tell me the title of the movie. So far I have not had luck finding it anywhere else.
