Space elevator movie pls help

ok so I don’t have much abt it but

the world is being attacked by aliens and the only way out is to go to a different planet (something like that) and this guy is about to get on this space elevator but he lets this girl go on instead of him and as she and a lot of other people are going up in the elevator the aliens destroy it.

pls help but its ok if u don’t know but its rly been bugging me
