Please help me find this movie

There are children in the movie, they are in a desert-like place and they have escaped from a place like a camp. There was probably water in the middle of a desert place, and they save their lives by drinking old syrups in an upturned little fishing boat. Also, I think there was a scorpion in that scene. In the last scene of the movie, they ate the roots of the sugar beet, they were on top of a mountain or something.
