Name the movie

My parents watched a movie and described it too me but they can’t find the name and don’t know any actors. It was on Netflix, and was about a writer living on an island in a lighthouse. He had a blind wife and he kills her. He then goes to the mainland and meets another woman and she follows him back to the island where he plans to kill her but she ends up killing him? She got there by ferry and it turns out she had murder her parents before all of this. Any help?
