Hi. This is a TV memory that’s been haunting me for, well, decades. I remember seeing this scene in the late eighties or early nineties, when I was like 8-11 years old. So my memory is a bit fuzzy.
The scene how I remember it (also: not sure if it’s a movie or TV episode): A killer, dressed in black with a black facemask (a bit like the ones we have to wear today…) and glasses is in a house and he goes up a stairway, holding a gun. There he enters the bedroom where a woman lies in her bed. She sees him and he calmly tells her: “I want to sleep with you.” (I should also mention that I’m not from an English-speaking country and I saw that scene in a dubbed version on German TV)
Then he shoots her in her chest, I think. She looks at her chest, like she can’t believe it, then she looks at her killer and drops dead. Then a guy who seems to know the killer joins him, and says sth. along the lines of “What have you done??” while the killer takes off his mask, smiling. Later – again, if I remember correctly – it is revealed that the woman faked her death and was helped by (among others?) that other guy… And the killer (?) and that other guy (or another other guy?) get in a fight in which one of them (the killer, I think…) is killed…
I know, it’s not much to work with, but it’s been haunting me and drives me crazy… That killer guy always looked a bit like a nerdy kinda guy in my memory; like Spengler from the Ghostbusters…
Thank you in advance for any information provided!
