Man who drives banana truck in love with girl who may be prostitute

Not in English I’m guessing 80s or 90s, might be Italian or Spanish. That’s all I remember, the young man drives a small truck with fruit along a road every day where girls are standing waiting for customers. It might be near a beach because the girls take their customers behind sand dunes. The man likes a girl who is poor and having money problems. I saw it on tv late night where they usually play movies that are risqué.
