Looking for a movie where they read ads for free things.

Okay, so I remember watching a movie where everything is kind of grim and the only things I remember was when the girl wanted to take a train she had to wait for a person to come so they could sit with her and read her ads so she could take the train for free. Same thing for fast food. They have a box with que cards on them to read from. I want to show my husband this movie but can’t find it since when I type in anything like the description the only thing that comes up is ad blockers for browsers.
