Irish Film from the 90’s

Thanks in advance for the help. I’m looking for the name of an Irish film from the late 90’s (possibly very early 2000s) mainly featuring teenagers. It starts with a teenage boy returning from what I think was Juvinille detention. The film continues with the boy meeting up with his girlfriend and other friends. They get into trouble and end up on the run from the police, ending up in the countryside. While on the run one of the boys draws a Celtic symbol on his forehead. The boy ends up being accidentlay shot in the head.
