Indian movie help

I saw this on one of those channels on YT that posts a summary of the movie, but they didnt state the name.

It’s about a sexist father and his mom, and he wanted his wife to abort the baby because she would be a girl, the baby survived, but the she was a mute. The father and mother tried to get rid of the baby, by abandoning her, selling her, and even tried to drown her in the river. but the mother pleaded for her. The father said he’d spare her life if he has a son and he never has to look at the mute daughter ever again.

They eventually have a son, and continue to mistreat the poor mute daughter.
