I don’t remember any of the story, only that it features something, maybe some weapon, which makes people evaporate. There are several close shots of persons as they gradually evaporate in a matter of seconds. First their clothes disappear, then their skin, eyes, flesh etc.
In a football field scene there is a grandstand made of metal, which gets so hot that people jump off it in panic.
