High flying burglar woman provoc 2 world class chess masters

I think the movie was from the late 80’s or early 90’s, I’ve seen it in Europe but as clearly US made.
The story involve a High flying burglar woman. She have to rob a very important/valuable item, to fulfill the goal she manage to provoke 2 world class chess masters to play against at the same time. This is just a distraction, a cover up,in the meanwhile when she goes from one contestant room to the other she have to perform the heist.
I remember the movie was aired in 2 parts, that was quite a first at that time, in Europe.
