Early 2000’s, medium budget film, manic pixie girl flim.

Can’t remember this slightly hipster style movie from the early to mid 2000’s we studied as an arthouse piece at my college 15 years ago.

There’s a guy who I think was upset and depressed with life, but he meets this outgoing manic pixie type girl who opens his eyes to how great life can be. I think at one time her dog starts humping his leg and she tells him to kick the dog in the balls to teach it a lesson. I think a funeral appeared near the beginning of the movie.
