What's the name of the movie in which a man inherits an old hotel and kills his grandfather, then obsesses over the woman who rents one of the rooms? She is a doctor. The man killed her ex boyfriend too.

All I can remember is it was a foreign film where the young couple is married at the end with a ceremony which takes place on the water with small boats all lit up at night. Maybe an Indian film?
