French movie – An airline strike leads friends to cancel their vacation plans and buy a mansion

I saw this movie sometime in the 90’s. It was rented, so I don’t know when it came out, but maybe it had a 70’s vibe.

In the movie, several couples are planning to go on vacation together. An extended airport strike derails their plans. The guys hear about a mansion that is up for sale at a ridiculously low price. Supposedly the owner is divorcing his wife and taking off with his lover and wants to unload the estate for some fast cash to screw over his wife.

I think the wives say no. Hilarity ensues when the guys plan together behind the wives backs to take the vacation money and some extra money and buy the property. And they get a huge surprise at the end.
