a(merican) high school bffs applying for college and there’s murder attempt and betrayal

i don’t exactly remember which channel i watched that movie, probably Lifetime channel, and it was years ago. It’s about two pretty girls who are bffs (american) and their family are close with each other too. It tells about their school life, senior year, and then they were applying to college. One of them got a prestigious one (???) and the plot is about the fight between the two, and there’s murder attempt and betrayal and some plot twists and so on. I couldn’t remember the title, it’s not a really big movie but it’s so heart-wrenching I just feel like watching it again lol
