I need help finding the name of a movie which is probably early-mid 80s but could also be 70s. All I remember is a single mom with a high-school aged son who plays baseball but isn’t very good. He’s coached throughout the movie and improves (possibly coached by a former major leaguer who might also be a family friend). Law enforcement is questioning the mom about the whereabouts of a relative, either the boy’s dad or grandpa, I can’t remember. At the end, a detective shows up at her son’s game and she bets that if her son (who hasn’t been good most of the season) hits a homerun then the detective has to let her be. Son hits homerun. Ok Go!
