Italian movie 60s or 70s… the witness of a murder become the wanted suspect

i saw that with my father when i was a kid. I think its an italian movie (maybe french). A man witness a rape-murder on the side of a forest. He goes home and decide to do nothing. Next few days he sees a police sketch artist in the newspaper that look like himself.
The Killer saw him, the witness, and went to the police and told them that he saw a man kill a woman.

Now the witness is wanted for murder.
