Can’t remember much but it was about a girl that hitchhiked? And was taken in by a rich family with issues. The dad was a crooked real estate developer that may have committed a murder. The girl worked at a diner and got tangled up with the town cop who raped her. There was also a young boy in the house who kept snails. He also spied on her. Thanks for any help
