Killer crocodile (or alligator) movie

I watched it a bunch when I was kid, in the early 2000s. Idk how new it was at that time. I thought it was Lake Placid but it’s not. I know it was a creature feature, I was sure it was a crocodile or an alligator, but I might be mixing up my beasts, I had a thing for megafauna horror movies when I was a kid. Anyway, only scene I can remember clearly was a brief sex scene that took place in a pool or spring in a forest/jungle/swamp setting between a girl I can’t remember and a platinum-blonde, spiky-haired, I think British dude, or at least there was that accent. He was very happy to get her, but they were attacked shortly after they finished and she died and he was very upset. At least, that’s how my kid brain interpreted the emotions at play lol. I know it’s not a lot to go on and I might be misremembering it really hard but it’s driving me crazy so I figured, might as well try. Thank you for being here to ask, either way
