teen movie with a castle

Hi. I’m looking for the name of a movie from late 80s or early 90s about teen that got granted wishes. It includes a castle/fortress in a neighborhood. I remember like some reporters parking in front of it. It’s kind of a mix between medieval and contemporary (for that time). Its a teen movie, maybe romantic or comedy.
