The movie I am trying to remember I watched around 2007 back in middle school. It involves a son going to visit his dad in an asylum where he talks about what happened to his hometown. In this hometown there are murders and other activities that get covered up and the public keeps silent so attention is drawn to them. After visiting him he returns to his hometown where he investigates what his father said and finds out everything he said is true. At the end of the movie he is sent to the same asylum where his dad was and is told not to speak about what happened there to avoid the same fate as his father.
