Indie Film, maybe foreign, Operatic Prodigy commits Suicide or Brother does

Can’t recall the film for the life of me, but it was a wonderful indie film kind of in the genre of Black Swan.. And made in the 2000’s for sure.
But its an indie film, I think, that is either Spanish or Portuguese (Italian?), where young operatic prodigy commits suicide or brother does and the father was a real monster. I can’t remember the story exactly, but it was a really good film and I would love to be able to watch it again. Thanks!
