Movie about mafia father leaving message for his daughter

Hi, I am trying to find the name of a movie I watched as a child. I think it was American with a blonde female protagonist. The story was about a daughter who finds out that her estranged father who is also a gangster has died and left her a video message. She is forced to travel with her fathers goons and there is some action after that which I forget. but the movie was really funny. Sadly cannot remember anything about it. If anyone remembers seeing it and knows a name please share? Thanks
